IE Freight
Iarnród Éireann Freight is a division of Iarnród Éireann. It provides a comprehensive range of Freight services through its different business units. Anything from a single urgent letter to a full train load, with a diversity of options in between, can be transported. It utilises the benefits of both the rail and road modes of transport, along with an extensive network of distribution points strategically located around the country, to provide a national distribution service.
It has four business units which provide services to their customers. Each of these business units is focused on servicing the needs of a particular market with its own customers and operating procedures. The Business Units are responsible for all their own activities and are supported by centrally managed support functions.
The different units are:
Bulk Freight
Provides rail and road freight service to large customers who require bulk volumes of product to be transported nationwide.
Navigator
International Freight Agency specialising in servicing the automotive and associated industries.
Roadliner
Road freight distribution services using own and hired resources to service customers' needs nationwide.
Fastrack
Same day national parcel and letter delivery service.
